The Museum'c collection on permanent display presents the historic development of postal & telecommunications services, as well as the history of pre-philately and philately in Croatia. Croatian stamps and phone cards are also exhibited.
The history of postal services encompasses the period of Roman postal organization on Croatian territory, medieval messenger service in Croatia, with a review of the situation in Europe in general; the first organized mail transportation in Croatia (1529) from Vienna to Zagreb and Karlovac, and on to Bihac, and the first national postal authority from 1848, when the Vice-Roy Josip Jelacic established the Croatian and Slavonian Head Post Management.
