The opening of the Gallery's exhibition on permanent display in 1994 - in the scope of Nasice's Native Museum - has resulted from two decades long efforts invested in collecting donations and acquiring works of art through purchase.

The exhibition displays a selection of works by visual artists associated with Nasice region through origin, birth, or residence. Apart from works by local artists, it also includes those by other Croatian painers and graphic artists, such as Marcel Arnold, Tihomir Marojevic, Ivan Svertasek, Ljerka Njers, Nevenka Arbanas, as well as those by the naive painter Drago Takac, and by the oldest local painter, the late Stipe Kovacevic jr.

There are about a thirty paintings and graphics on display, in various techniques, and treating all kinds of subjects.

As a token of deep regard for Nasice's own Izidor Krsnjavi, a once most distinguished figure in Croatian cultural and scientific circles, the entire complex was named after him.
