The Collection has existed since the Museum's establishment and includes over a hundred different paintings and sculptures. Among the oldest is the portrait of a cooper from the first half of the past century; three pieces by S. Mampel, two oil miniatures on tin, and a litograph of the Schaumburg-Lippe married couple. Through the years, the Museum was buying local authors' works, such as those by Nikola Trick, Hans Seitz, Antun Ibrikan, Branka Marceta Greguric, Teodor Trick, Zorica Forko, Josip Strmecki, Zlatko Kovacevic, Franjo Hoti, Rafael Jungabel, etc. The artists who held exhibitions at the Museum used to always leave a piece for the Collection, so that it now provides a review of the local painting over the past thirty years. Since there is no room for a permanent display, exhibitions are organized from time to time presenting the latest acquisitions.
