View from the eastern part of the Forum towards the west where there was a building with beautiful floor mosaics. It is not known what purpose the building served as it largely lies under village houses. Augusteum. The Forum was intersected with channels and paved with stone tiles. Excavated from underneath the building was a large number of fully preserved amphorae placed there for drainage and possibly also for acoustic reasons (archaeological excavations of 1997).
