Božena Kraguljac was born in 1938 in Topolovec close to Sisak, where she went to primary and secondary school. She took a degree from the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, history major. For quite a long time she taught history in several primary and secondary schools.
After arriving in Sisak Municipal Museum, she first of all managed the Josip Broz Tito Training and Metal Working Workshop in Sisak. Up to 1989 she collected material about the working class movement and the revolution. From 1990 on she managed the Cultural History Collection.
She wrote 12 prefaces to catalogues of exhibitions, some of which are: Brotherhood and Unity Jamborees, 1981; 50 Years of ORA, 1986; the Communist Movement in Sisak 1919-1989; Sisak River Navigation, 1995; Old Sisak Flags, 1999; Museum in Sisak - Foundation and Work, 2000; 220 Years of Schools in Sisak, 2001; Testimonies of an Age, 2003, and so on.
She is author of exhibitions and conceptions in the memorial rooms: Lenin, Life and Work, 1974; Josip Broz Tito in Sisak and Banija, 1977; Josip Broz, Apprenticeship in Sisak, 1907-1910, 1981; Sisak Fort - Ideas, Sketches and Prospectuses, 1992; Filip Kljajić Fićo Memorial Room, Tremušnjak, 1974; OK SKH Sisak Memorial Room, Žabno, 1982; Banija Proleterian Troop, Brestik, 1981; Antun and Stjepan Radić Memorial Room, Trebarjevo, 1991.
She co-authored nine exhibitions and took part in a number of conferences.
