The Museum Documentation Center is a public institution founded in 1955 as the documentation, information, and communication node of the Croatian museum network.

MDC participates in the development of the Croatian museum community through its basic activities -  documentation, education, publication, advisory, research, library and exhibition activities.

MDC is:

  • The central point (INDOK) of the Croatian museum community
  • The coordinator of the system (network) of museums
  • The place of collaborative learning and professional development
  • The place for the promotion of Croatian museums at home and abroad
